Preparing for interview

If you’re offered an interview, congratulations! There are a few things you can do to prepare yourself. We don’t have set questions for every role, but by researching the organisation and the sector, you can be prepared with some background information. Our group websites are a great place to start. (links)

Prepare your journey and make sure you know how long it will take to get to our offices. It’s worth double checking the job description to see what skills, interests and experiences we’re looking for.

We might ask you things like why you’re interested in the job, what makes you a great candidate, or what your proudest achievement is. Always have some examples of where you have used your skills to demonstrate your successes/learning as we might ask you to tell us.  These are just examples, but it is worth coming prepared.

On the day

Think about first impressions. We don’t expect you to come suited and booted but think about wearing something smart and comfortable.

Double check where the interview is taking place, we are based in several offices across Shropshire and Staffordshire. Make sure you’ve got a contact number to ring in case something goes wrong on the journey.

During the interview, we want to get to know you. But this is a great time to find out more about us, so feel free to ask any questions about the role or the Group.

Good luck and we hope it goes well!
