Homes Plus puts art on local roads

Three landlords in Housing Plus Group – South Staffordshire Housing Association, Severnside Housing and Stafford and Rural Homes – have joined together to become Homes Plus.

Some of the first changes that you might notice are the new-look Homes Plus vehicles. If you look carefully, you might also be able to spot some limited edition vans, featuring artwork inspired by the distinctive blue and pink colours in our logo.

We marked the launch of Homes Plus by unveiling the first of our repairs and maintenance vehicles to proudly carry our new name. To ensure that we continue to deliver great value for money, we haven’t given this facelift to all our vans. As we replace or add new vehicles, they will have the smart new blue and pink livery.

A small number of extra-special vans, showcase artwork specially created by Jon Stiff, who is Director of maintenance and commercial services at Housing Plus Group as well as a successful artist.

Jon, who has transformed his house into an art gallery, has produced an eye-catching abstract design in the new Homes Plus colours. Jon was there to see the first of these boldly-painted vehicles set off, and explained what it was about the new Homes Plus logo that inspired him to create this unique piece of art.

“It’s a great opportunity to put art on the road,” said Jon. “The Homes Plus colours inspired me to create something vivid. I like to get a sense of movement on my canvas and this time, the canvas is the size of a van, which is absolutely immense! I hope people enjoy looking-out for them in the coming weeks.”
