We’re celebrating the completion of our 100th home at our Wrottesley Village development

We have reached a key milestone at our 220-home development in the South Staffordshire village of Perton.

One hundred homes have now been completed at the development, known as Wrottesley Village, which is helping to provide much-needed housing in the area, with 131 homes for outright sale, 45 for shared ownership and 44 for rent.

Work on the site, which is next to Wrottesley Golf Club, is being carried out in partnership with SJ Roberts Construction. The homes are contemporary two, three and four-bedroom properties with state-of-the-art air source heat pumps, minimising fuel bills. The development has fantastic commuter links to Wolverhampton, Telford, Shrewsbury and Birmingham.

By working closely with the Parish and District councils, new parish allotments have also taken shape on the development, encouraging a community approach to gardening among residents and a play area for families to enjoy will shortly be completed.

Sarah Boden, Chief Executive at Housing Plus Group, who visited the development to mark this exciting milestone, said: “It is great to be celebrating the completion of the 100th home at Wrottesley Village and I’m delighted to see SJ Roberts Construction making such good progress.

“Housing Plus Group is committed to building thriving communities and we can already see this one taking shape, with many of these fabulous new homes already occupied.

“We look forward to welcoming more residents as work continues to progress, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.”

Construction at Wrottesley Village is due to be completed at the end of 2025.

Commenting on behalf of SJ Roberts Construction, Michael Sambrook, Managing Director, said: “SJ Roberts Construction has partnered with Housing Plus Group for many years and it is always a point of great pride when we reach a milestone on a development. That is no less the case here at Wrottesley Village in Perton, but today’s 100th home completion has added significance as we wish Sarah Boden well as she looks forward to starting her retirement in the new year.

“The Housing Plus Group team has a very exciting future ahead and we’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with them as they approach the next chapter.”
