We are celebrating great news that employee engagement specialist Best Companies has recognised Housing Plus Group as one of the best places to work. Having already awarded the highly-prized accreditation to Housing Plus Group earlier this year, Best Companies has now published its latest rankings. We are delighted to appear in no fewer than three Best Companies charts:

- The top 50 best companies to work for in the West Midlands
- The top 75 best large companies to work for in the UK
Housing Plus Group development shortlisted for national award
We were delighted to have been shortlisted in the Inside Housing Development Awards. Housing Plus Group was been shortlisted for the Best Older People’s Housing Development award, for The Burgesses. The Burgesses provides 20 purpose-built apartments for older people within the conservation area of Kinver.

Housing Plus Group named in Top 50 Biggest Builders
We were proud to have been recognised as one of the country’s Top 50 Biggest Builders in a report published by Inside Housing magazine. This is the second time that we have been included in the annual ranking of social landlords developing affordable housing for local communities. In 2021-22 we completed 376 new homes, including 230 for affordable rent, 69 for social rent and 77 for low-cost home ownership. An investment of £41 million underlined our determination to address the housing crisis in Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Our acclaimed apprenticeship programme helped our Group to be named Employer of the Year at the Newcastle Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) Celebration Awards. The awards showcased all that is best in learning, training and apprenticeships and were presented by NSCG Principal Karen Dobson OBE.

Top award for homes and maintenance
Property Plus, which carries out repairs and maintenance services for all our Homes Plus customers, was named Contractor of the Year in the UK Housing Awards. The sector’s most influential awards celebrate the UK’s top housing services and are presented jointly by Inside Housing magazine and the Chartered Institute of Housing. Property Plus was singled-out for its willingness to go the extra mile to keep customers and staff safe during the pandemic.
